PITTSWORTH SHOW SOCIETY ELECTS NEW PRESIDENT
At the Annual General meeting of the Pittsworth Show Society held on 23 August 2007, member elected well
known local identity Mark Droney to head the Society for the next 12 months.
Mark has been an active Committee member and previously held the position of Chief Ring Steward.
Outgoing President Robin Krieg did not seek re-election after 19 years at the helm. The Show Society
Committee thanks Robin for his dedication to the role of President and for the many improvements he has
overseen during his 19 years.
Other changes within the organisation include:
Patron: Len and Audrey Fisher were elected joint patrons, replacing
Doug Bailey who retired from the position this year.
Vice Presidents: Paul Fuhlbolm and Pam Murphy were returned with
new face Paul Rigney replacing Tom Mansbridge, a previous vice-president
who did not seek re-election.
Secretary/Treasurer is Jenny Green
With next years show set for 7 and 8 March 2008, planning has commenced in earnest.
It is hoped that the Show Society can capitalise on the success and enthusiasm that was generated this year
for the 100th show.
The show ball will be held on 23 February 2008 in the Town Hall.
The show girl competition is again being co-ordinated by Janelle Collier and any prospective show girls or
sponsors are welcome to contact Janelle at “Lilly Pilly” Place.
